By Stefanie Fairweather  IMG_3147 SAN ANTONIO—Want to have fun and win free stuff every other Tuesday? The Saints Productions Board are will debut their new Turn Up Tuesday event on February 13 during community hour. SPB wants to revamp their image and get more actively engaged with the campus community. SPB’s mission is to coordinate and plan events geared to the student body, both fun and enriching. The first event is in honor of Mardi Gras, there will be King Cake and beads handed out to the students.  SPB will be collaborating with Chartwells on bringing some life to the cafeteria during community hour.   The SPB team is an extension of the Student Leadership & Development Office and they are excited to start the spring semester on a high note. In the past, SPB has planned events such as the 90’s Party, Spirit Day, & Candlelight all of which have been very successful. The team is excited to plan events for the remainder of this semester. They are interested in planning a pajama party right before Spring Break and an end-of-the year party as well.    “We are using these events to get the students more involved and to add some life back into OLLU. We’ve seen a lack of school spirit and campus engagement in the past year, and our plan is to bring it back.” SPB Vice President Angel Akins said. SPB Wellness Chair Erika Carbajal-Ramos will use Turn Up Tuesday to promote her Life Hacks events which includes do-it-yourself Valentine’s Day gifts. No Valentine, didn’t get your Valentine a gift, no problem! SPB has got you covered February 14, the SPB team will be handing out free Valentine’s day s’mores during community hour.
