The official San Antonio Jazz Festival sets off its 39th musical venue for music lovers

SAN ANTONIO — The official San Antonio Jazz Festival Jazz’SAlive returns for its 39th annual venue to celebrate the historical genre of jazz and highlight local San Antonio jazz musicians.    Jazz’SAlive is set to begin Sept. 23 through Sept. 24, from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at Travis Park and Legacy Park. The two-day venue is free for everyone of all ages, and VIP is included for ages 21 and up.    According to the San Antonio Parks Foundation, Jazz’SAlive is considered the city of San Antonio’s official jazz festival. It has ensured all San Antonio natives of its opening towards the beginning of the fall season. Several businesses sponsor the two-day jazz festival, including H-E-B, 91.7 FM, and the City of San Antonio Parks & Recreation.   Several local jazz artists are set to perform according to days, including:   
  • Anthony Thomas Quartet
  • The Thrasher People
  • The Common Good 
  • Heritage Big Band
  • The Foreign Arm
