Donald Trump was pronounced president of the United States after a close race that went into the wee hours of the night. After winning Florida it was clear to the Trump Campaign he would be the victor.
Trump was the first to reach 279 out of 270 electoral votes against Hillary Clinton’s 228.
According to Patch.com, protests have erupted across the country in response to his election win.
