SAN ANTONIO—This month, the Greek organizations have a new event called “Too Greek Tuesdays”. Too Greek Tuesdays are held on every first and third Tuesday of the month during Community Hour in the Mall Area. One out of the six organizations host on a Tuesday and display their activities. Too Greek Tuesdays are held to promote the unity between all six Greek organizations and to get other students involved with the organizations.
The six Greek organizations that are recognized on campus are in order of their establishing year: Epsilon Sigma Alpha (1991), Sigma Theta Epsilon (1999), Delta Xi Nu (2009), Kappa Delta Chi (2012), Omega Delta Phi (2012), Lambda Psi Delta (2015). All of these organizations are service based.
The first Too Greek Tuesday was held on October 6, 2015 and hosted by Kappa Delta Chi in correlation with the organization hosting their second annual “Kiss Away Cancer” event, to support Breast Cancer for the WINGS Association. The WINGS Association is a local organization in San Antonio that provides free testing and screening for women.
The most recent Too Greek Tuesday was held on October 20, 2015 and hosted by Delta Xi Nu with an activity called “Bra Pong” to raise awareness for breast cancer. The next Too Greek Tuesday will be hosted by Omega Delta Phi on November 3, 2015. If you are interested in Greek life, stop by the Mall Area to learn more or mingle with the Greek organizations.
