SAN ANTONIO– The Our Lady of the Lake men’s golf team is hosting their fourth annual charity golf tournament Friday, April 6. The OLLU athletics department will be selling raffle tickets the day of the event with the proceeds going towards the teams travel and other costs.
Registration tables will open at 10:45 a.m. Friday morning followed by lunch at 11:45 a.m. The event will begin in a shotgun start happening at 12:45 p.m. and will be played in a 4-man Florida Scramble. After the event there will be a dinner, award ceremony, raffle and auction presented to all participants.
“This has been a hit with everyone involved and everyone coming out for the past few years and it just keeps getting bigger and better every time,” OLLU head volleyball coach, Jeremiah Tiffin said.
All donations given to the tournament can be put to a specific reason or team of the donor’s choice. Entries start at $150 per person, $600 per 4-man team, $150 per hole sponsor, $150 to buy a “ringer”. Straight donations of any amount are accepted as well.
“We strive to get more and more teams to sign up and come out and just have a day of fun golf, plus we love working it and being able to have a day with the people who give our programs so much support,” OLLU senior, Darion Brown said.
The event will be held at The Republic Golf Course of San Antonio located at 4226 Southeast Military Drive. Payments can be made with checks payable to OLLU Athletics and credit card or online at www.ollusaintsathletics.com/OLLU_Athletic_Fund.
