OLLU is Lit

By: Loren DeLeon

With Christmas just around the corner, Our Lady of the Lake took part in some Christmas festivities.

On Tuesday November 27th,the OLLU Mission and Ministry Office and the OLLU Music Ensemble Association hosted the Annual Community Christmas Tree Decorating and Lighting Ceremony. This ceremony, held in the center of the mall area, is a time honored Saint tradition. The OLLU band and university choir gathered to sing popular Christmas music while the students decorated their own ornament to hang on the tree. The tree was then blessed by OLLU Chaplain Father Kevin Fausz. Many students were able to customize their own ornaments while enjoying refreshments provided by the Our Lady of the Lakes Mission and Ministry. If you missed this years tree lighting, don’t fret, the lighting of the OLLU tree is done annually every fall semester.
