SAN ANTONIO – If you have attended any sporting events at Our Lady of the Lake University, you might have noticed the athletes wearing gear with the recognizable Nike swoosh. Athletes here at OLLU have been sponsored by Nike for the past couple years but that all might be changing soon.
OLLU athletics will make the switch to Adidas across the entire athletic program for the upcoming season.
“Our department has had a deal with Nike for the past years but we just gained an Adidas rep to the program and realized that it was a switch that had to be made,” said volleyball head coach Jeremiah Tiffin.
The Saints will be rocking the new three stripes on their uniforms for the upcoming season with the sponsor’s help. The OLLU athletes have had a great response to the changes.
“I am super excited about the switch because I have seen Adidas gear on other teams and I think it looks so nice,” said junior volleyball player Anyssa Rivera.
You can go see the Saints in their new gear on the court and field in the upcoming 2018-2019 season next August.
