Davenport was the 2017 Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, three-time all-conference selection, and set records at the defensive position, as UTSA career tackle for loss record holder, sacks record holder and quarterback hurries during his time at UTSA.
“I think it is crazy cause that is one of my close friends and now I get to watch him live out one of his dreams,” says OLLU baseball player Mike Light. “I just know that he will do amazing in the league,” Light continued.
Davenport will continue his football career in New Orleans in the upcoming 2018 football season. He starts training camp this summer with the franchise.
