SAN ANTONIO- Throughout the month of October the spirit of Halloween will be present all over San Antonio. From events that will make you scream to ones that will make you fall in love with the season, here are several you will not want to miss.
Named “1 of 10 scariest haunted houses in the US” by USA Today, 13th Floor returns to 1203 E. Commerce St. to give visitors a thrilling experience they will not forget. Although this attraction is an annual event in the city, new features are being introduced this year. Just when returning visitors, like myself, did not think they can run out any faster in previous years, Pennywise and La Llorona will now be joining the crew that has received nationwide attention. Tickets are available online and onsite.

2. Tower of the Americas Fall Pumpkin Patch
If you are looking for an “Instagrammable” moment or the perfect picked pumpkin to carve, you will enjoy the festive fall display located at the Tower of the Americas. Available every day from Oct. 16- Nov. 8, and free to the public. You can also catch a free concert on Friday Oct. 18 and 25!
The largest flea market in San Antonio is introducing the city’s 1st and only corn maze! Open weekends in October and November, the maze runs 10 acres with 3 trails included. An all day wristband can be purchased so you and a group of your most directionally gifted friends can attempt every level of maze (easy, medium, hard). In addition to entering a path of confusion for fun, other activities on-site include a free petting zoo, theme park rides, plenty of photo ops, and fall food concessions.
A special dinner & ghost tour event invites costumers to a delicious 3-course dinner at the historic Menger Hotel. This would be just a casual evening at what is considered to be one of America’s most haunted hotels- right before touring the most paranormal active sites around downtown San Antonio- like I said, casual! Availability to attend and confirm your doubts or beliefs will be every Friday and Saturday in October. You never know when a spirit will decide it wants to be seen, so cameras are well encouraged for photo (or false) proof!
Upon these attractions are plenty more spooky sites to visit around the city. Know of any other Halloween attractions? Visit OLLU Lake Front News Facebook page and share for fellow Saints looking for a spook-tacular time!
