By Stefanie Fairweather and Pauline Fields SAN ANTONIO—Halloween is coming up and you might be wondering: “Where should I go to celebrate?” There are many haunted houses here in San Antonio. Three of the most popular ones are 13th Floor, Terror Mansion, and Psycho Asylum. Here are some details that will help you decide which one you may want to go to. The 13th Floor Haunted House is one of the largest most popular haunted houses in San Antonio. Unlike many other places, the 13th Floor has two different themed attractions. One of the themes is a burial ground and the other is called “Into the Void”. This multi-story haunted house is the go-to place when it comes to the scariest places in San Antonio. General admission for San Antonio’s #1 haunted house is $24.99 plus tax, and this establishment is open from 7pm to 12am. Terror Mansion is the second most popular haunted house here in San Antonio and there are about 20 spooky rooms to go through at this location. Patrons must figure out a way to escape the spookiness and the monsters chasing them with chainsaws. Terror Mansion was named San Antonio’s four-star scariest and true paranormal haunted house. Terror Mansion is open from 7pm to 12am on Fridays and Saturdays and general admission is $20. Psycho Asylum is another popular haunted house in the San Antonio area. The awesome option about this haunted house is that it is partnered with another scary attraction: the San Antonio Slaughterhouse. At this haunted house, a ticket of $35 allows you to explore both haunts (there are discounts offered online and at local HEBs). Psycho Asylum is considered to be one of the longest existing haunts in the city. It is located at 1201 E. Houston and is open from October 20-31. On weekdays they are open from 7pm to 11pm and on the weekends it is open from 7pm to 12am.
