SAN ANTONIO- Our Lady of the Lake University is gearing up to host the 5K Confetti run and walk. The highly anticipated event will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 9 a.m. in front of the main building at OLLU.
This annual event is attended by hundreds of students, faculty, alumni and people from around San Antonio. All funds raised go to support student scholarships at OLLU. Each attendee will receive a T-shirt, customized bib, finisher medal and drawstring bag.
OLLU graduate student, Priscilla Dominguez, is one participant in the upcoming race.
“Besides the freebies afterward, I do enjoy the beautiful scenery along the walk. Our Lady of the Lake University has always held a special place in my heart since coming here from El Paso, and every time I go for a walk around Elmendorf Lake, I am reminded of OLLU’s beauty and it’s importance to San Antonio’s history.” Dominguez said.
Online registration closes Friday, April 12 at noon, however on-site registration will also be available. Prizes will be available for the following groups; First overall Female/Male, and top three Female/Male in the following age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
