SAN ANTONIO—J.C. Wollslager, Our Lady of the Lake student, gets Mass Communications department recognition with the awards he’s won for his graphic designs. Recently, he came in second place for the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada for his November issue of the Lake Front.
The Cover that won J.C. the award.
This is not the first award J.C. has won an award for his graphics. He also has won awards with TIPA (Texas Intercollegiate Press Association) and SPJ (Society of Professional Journalism) for his work with the newscast as well as his entertainment segment.
J.C is surprisingly not a Mass Communications major. However, he works at the Lake Front as their graphic designer and even designed the new logo for the Lake Front. With all of his work on the covers, it’s plain to see the talent and hard work that he puts into each project.
J.C. is looking forward to making more work this semester to enter into contests. OLLU should keep a look out for his future work. Students can find his work on each over to the Lake Front. Below are some of J.C’s amazing covers as he continues to improve his skill set.
