SAN ANTONIO – El 7 Mares is a family-owned seafood restaurant that has been open for 25 years and is offering a special for all Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) staff and students. The dine-in option includes a free soft drink or agua fresca with any meal to students and staff when they show their OLLU ID.
“I came here with my friends and enjoyed their grilled shrimp dish and an agua fresca,” said Multimedia and Visual Arts major, Melanie Vega. “The atmosphere was great and very family-oriented.”
The restaurant specializes in Mexican seafood dishes but, also offers chicken and steak dishes to cater to all food preferences.
“All our food is fresh and homemade, we only cook with the best wild-caught fish,” said Alejandro Villanueva. “I am proud of the food we serve here, we always want our guests to have the best experience and hope that they see we are different so they want to come back.”
El 7 Mares is located at 3831 W. Commerce St., in front of Elmendorf Lake within close proximity to OLLU. Service hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
