SAN ANTONIO—Come March, all college students are asking themselves the same question: Where am I going for Spring Break? This time of the year can mean different things for different people but for college students it is all about partying. Every March, almost like clock work students cram into cars and head to South Padre Island for spring break fun in the sun and 24-hour beach bashes.
South Padre Island is 4 hours and a half
away from San Antonio and it is the place to be for Spring Break if you are looking for an affordable domestic option with wild day parties and awesome beach bars. When springtime comes, South Padre Island sands and hotels fill with partygoers. Loud, all-night parties fill the streets throughout the entire month of March.
The madness of
Spring Break can actually be an effective way to get refreshed and ready for the rest of the academic semester. “After Spring Break of last year I was mentally rested and ready to face the rest of the semester, and that actually helped my grades.” Said OLLU sophomore Mathias Rocha. To plan your trip or to find more information, visit this website, and listen to the podcast where someone shares her firsthand experience at the island.
